Welcome to the Virginia Early Intervention Professional Development (VEIPD) Center
Our team provides coordination and oversight of Virginia's Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD) for early interventionists who provide supports and services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities and their families under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA).
The wealth of resources you provide (for free!) for early intervention has had a huge impact on me. Your website has been a lifeline of insight and tools that has sustained my work, given me inspiration on those hard days, and ultimately, kept me working in the field.
Major Activities
Develop, maintain, and support Virginia’s initial early intervention certification process
Produce resources (webinars, trainings, videos, blog, modules, etc) to support ongoing early intervention professional development and certification
Provide mandatory early intervention service coordination training
